Larissa Pullen God, this album. These buttery boys have done it again. This album perfectly balances upbeat and dance-y and swingy and dreamy and nostalgic. The name "The Buttertones" I think is meant quite literally, their dreamy doo-woopy guitar melodies (esp. on baby doll and Connie) and Richards rich syrupy deep vocals will have you melting fast like a pad of butter on a waffle hot off the iron. The faster songs will have you dancing those existential anxiety induced nights away in your alone in your room (pls tell me I'm not the only one). Basically what I'm trying to say is this band will make your life happier. Please do us all a favor and listen and support these dudes, because they're only going up from here.

Joy this album is sick as hell, i love it so much. it definitely has a different vibe from their first album, but it's still amazing nonetheless. His voice really touches my heart. Will we ever get the lyrics for this album though? I'd really like to know Favorite track: Baby Doll.

noah doolady The Buttertones keep getting better and better. Their sound is smooth (like butter) and gives me old western and Tarantino vibes for days Favorite track: Colorado.

Kevin Alvarez Although they're a relatively new band, with their second LP the Buttertones are already showing a lot of promise. Keep this band in your radar. Favorite track: Baby Doll.

A moody Los Angeles-based cinematic surf rock/garage outfit with a Merseybeat heart and a take-no-prisoners punk attitude, The Buttertones draw inspiration from bands like The Sonics, Suicide, The Walker Brothers, Joy Division, and The Gun Club. The group built a loyal fan base with their atmospheric live shows and albums like 2017's Gravedigging and 2018's Midnight in a Moonless Dream. ... more
